Good Eggs was founded by Rob Spiro, who helped run a farm in upstate New York, and Alon Salant, who honed his skills as a backyard Meyer lemon producer. The two eventually met in Silicon Valley and discovered their mutual love of agriculture and the transformative power of technology. They founded Good Eggs in 2011.
Rob and Alon partnered with local farmers and producers, testing ideas to find the best way to support their social and environmental goals. This process uncovered a need for a new kind of local grocery service. Based on that insight, Good Eggs marketplace launched in the Bay Area in the spring of 2013.
Today, we’re over 100 team members strong. We’re a group of passionate people ready to change the world through food. We’re building strong relationships with each other and our community. We have lunch together every day to share ideas, enjoy each other and eat delicious local food. We know this is a special place and we’re looking for special people to join us.
